Owl Birthday Party

This is what I've been busy with.

My daughter celebrated her 7th Birthday and wanted an Owl theme with her favorite colors ... teal and pink ... I just added the yellow as a moon since it was pretty close to Halloween.

For the invitation I used my Cricut and Gypsy to create a shaped card.  The owl is from Paisley cartridge.  I modified it a little like adding lashes using commas from one of the font cartridges I have.

The goody bags are just plain brown paper.  The owl's face base is a Nestabilities Label 1 die and I used various sizes of scallop and circle punchers to create the eyes.  I hand cut the nose and wings and assembled the owl.  I added wrinkled ribbon for the girls goody bag.

I made the pinata following a YouTube tutorial using a balloon as a base and covered it with scrap paper then crepe paper.  For the wings I used layered fringed brown paper and just curled it a little.

The subway art is from Eighteen25.  Incidentally the the colors were a perfect match!

For the shelf display I reused my Halloween plates to display the invitation and number 7.  I got some framed pictures in her room and some knick knacks that complement with the theme.

The cake sign was also made using my Cricut and Gypsy.  I hope you like my little ensemble.

Super G

My youngest baby's 5th Birthday is next month and he wants to have a Superman birthday.  I wanted to personalize it a bit so I changed it to Super G (for Garrett).  I made this shirt for him to wear.  I cut the G logo from my Cricut which I made in my Gypsy using G from Mickey Fonts and and rectangles from George cartridge.  I used the 2 sided wonder under to make the fabric stiffer and attach to the other fabric easily.  I made one for each of the kids (minus the cape) as a giveaway using their initials, I hope they'll like it.  I still have to do the invitations and decorations ... I'll share them when I'm done.

Clone Trooper

My first born turned 9 and he likes Star Wars legos.  I created a very simple clone trooper head in my gypsy using welded basic shapes.

Birthday Bear

This is what I did for my little girl's 6th Birthday.  She wanted white bears as the theme, I thought it would be so dull so I added pink and purple ... the little boys thought the colors were "boring".  Bears were from Create a Critter cartridge and fonts are from Don Juan.  BTW, the middle box is a home made pinata (an old cereal box covered with crepe paper), I'm happy this one dropped all the candies when the strings were pulled.  My first attempt was a disaster, my husband had to rip open the box for the goodies to come out ... I secured it too much.
In a little over a month my oldest son wants a star wars birthday. How on earth can I make a clone trooper from Cricut?  Wish me luck =D.

Hello Kitty

My little girl's birthday is getting closer.  Last year she wanted a Hello Kitty theme so I made these invitaion, explosion box and banner.  This year she wants a teddy bear theme with pink and purple.  I have not started anything yet and it's less than a month away!

Monster themed Birthday

My youngest son just celebrated his 4th Birthday. Because of our plumbing disaster I did not have time to prepare and it was really a last minute decision to have a party.  Luckily, I was able to cram a simple party for him which was a Sassafras Montrosity inspired theme. I just love this line --- such cute little monsters! Since I was out of time I just re-created the little monsters using various shapes in my gypsy.
