Unforeseen Events

Sorry for the long silence but I've been busy preparing for my friend's baby shower.  The baby shower is supposed to be this afternoon but her doctor admitted her in the hospital yesterday for 24 hrs observation due to her incessant high blood pressure plus a history of preeclampsia from her 1st pregnancy.  We decided to postpone it to tomorrow but she just learned that she'll be staying in the hospital until she gives birth (she's due in mid April).  It's been decided that we'll go ahead with the shower tomorrow and just have her 2 yr old daughter and sister proxy for her.  We'll just video tape the event and let her watch it in the hospital to lift her spirits up.  Here are some of the projects I was busy with.

Baby Shower

Sorry,  pictures were removed for publishing ...

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday season ... mine went by so fast I wish I can rewind it.
As we start a new year I want to share a baby shower project my friends and I are throwing for our friend Joy who is expecting a baby boy.  Since it's right after the holidays we decided to plan early and get as much as we can done ... did not happen so I'm trying to get it done now.
The souvenir will be flower magnets (I know we're expecting a boy but it's blue at least =D).  I used a magnetic bulldog clip from Staples and attached diecut felt flowers using a Sizzix die.
Most of the designing is done (at least for the basic ones) so I need to prep all the parts and start an assembly line.

Supplies:
  • PAPER: PTI Kraft, Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky & Simply Chartreuse
  • STAMPS: PTI, Hero Arts
  • INK: Stampin Up
  • DIECUT: PTI Tag#2, Sizzix & Cricut New Arrival
  • OTHER:  ribbon, twine, star punch, felt & buttons

  • PAPER: PTI Pure Poppy and  Simply Chartreuse, Brenda Walton's Peppermint Twist, Bazzil
  • STAMP: PTI Signature Christmas, Hero Arts Dot background stamp, personalized stamp from Staples
  • INK: Stampin Up Real Red, Versamark ink
  • OTHER: Photos, Martha Stewart snowflake punch, red ribbon, PTI Mat Stack, red buttons, twine, bling

Clone Trooper

My first born turned 9 and he likes Star Wars legos.  I created a very simple clone trooper head in my gypsy using welded basic shapes.
